performance marketing, with taste
currently running
paid media and creative consulting for brands that care about results and don't want to sacrifice taste to get there. google, linkedin, meta.
let's chatmy point of view
most paid media underperforms because strategy, creative, and execution are split across too many people. nobody's connecting the dots.
when one person owns all three, and actually cares, results compound.
01 what i do
no packages, no tiers, no 40-slide onboarding deck.
I run your paid media end to end. strategy, builds, optimization, and reporting across google, linkedin, and meta. I own it like it's mine. creative support (briefs, ad design, testing) available as an add-on.
you're running ads but not learning from them. I audit what's running, build a structured testing framework, and design experiments that compound. works standalone or alongside your existing team.
you have the team but need direction. I work with founders and marketing leads to figure out what's actually worth doing. which channels, which audiences, how to structure it. strategy only, no retainer.
02 selected work
real results. clients anonymized.
problem
paid media contributing zero to pipeline. built the channel from scratch. Google Search for high-intent demand, LinkedIn ABM to reach senior buyers at target accounts, YouTube retargeting to stay top of mind.
outcome / full month
problem
Frank Sinatra album launch with no paid media history. needed to drive vinyl and CD sales. tested static vs. Reels built around nostalgia and romance, iterating on hooks and formats to find what converted.
outcome / shopify, month 1
problem
Google Shopping running but underperforming. conv. value/cost of 15.43 overall, with Branded (USD) at 4.05 and Remarketing at 1.23.
outcome / post-restructure
03 the honest take
not an agency. a strategic partner.
few enough clients that I stay close to each one. when the problem turns out to be the creative, the offer, or the page the ads point at, I go fix it. that doesn't take a change order or a new statement of work.
04 consultant vs. agency
no shade. sometimes an agency is the right call. here's how to tell.
| typical agency | working with me | |
|---|---|---|
| who's actually in the account | a junior strategist juggling 8 to 12 accounts. the senior who pitched you shows up quarterly. | me. every build, every optimization, every report. nothing gets handed down. |
| speed | a friday escalation becomes a monday ticket. reporting lands monthly, templated. | something breaks friday, it gets fixed friday. you're talking to the person doing the work. |
| creative | briefed out to a separate team. three rounds of telephone before an ad ships. | strategy, brief, and execution in one head. concepts go live in days, not sprints. |
| what you're paying for | account management, project management, and margin stacked on top of the media buyer. | the media buyer. that's the whole org chart. |
| how success gets measured | impressions, clicks, MQLs. dashboards built to survive the QBR. | SQLs, pipeline, closed revenue. the numbers your CFO asks about. |
| incentive to perform | the retainer renews whether or not pipeline moved. | I grow on results and referrals. that's the entire business. |
| best fit | $100k+/month, multi-market, full creative production at scale. | $10k to $80k/month, senior attention on the work, pipeline over volume. |

05 in their words
two clients this week did nothing but gush about how much they love working with you. you're calm, sharp as all hell, and handle client questions not with answers, but with plans.

former VP · B2B SaaS agency
"we've been through 2 other agencies and the work you've already delivered is very impressive. you're a very engaging presenter."
client, direct
06 how it works

weekly optimization, transparent reporting. you always know where things stand.
07 about

toronto, on · 10 years in paid media
ten years, a handful of agencies, and clients across north america, the UK, europe, and APAC. cannabis, vape, fintech, supplements, B2B SaaS, DTC, music, non-profit, franchise. long enough to watch the same thing happen everywhere: good strategy briefed, re-briefed, and handed off until what shipped was safe and forgettable.
put me in your slack and I work like anyone else on your team. no account manager in the middle, no monthly deck standing in for a conversation, no handoff once the contract is signed. the person you talk to before you sign is the person you work with the whole time. that's me.
most brands don't need another executor. they need someone with taste and an opinion about what they're putting in front of thousands of people a day, who will say the creative isn't good enough and then go fix it.
